Affiliate Marketing is a happening thing now. It can turn someone into a millionaire overnight, even in only a matter of hours. It’s not rocket-science, but it does need some work and effort put into it. The beautiful thing is, you can learn it by yourself through the books and/or CDs (my favorites are Commission Blueprint, AutoCash System and Blogging to the Bank), write-ups, as well as joining discussion forums on the net. I call this marketing revolution.
I’d like to share with you what led me to this wonderful way of making money over the net, as well as some tips that would hopefully make it easier for you to get what you want if you decided to pursue Affiliate Marketing as well.
It all started with a believe.

I can't even begin to say how true it is.. I've proven it myself.
All my life, I have always known what I wanted. I've climbed the ladder in the corporate life and achieved a senior position in a considerably young age. I've had international assignments overlooking many countries, I've traveled the world, met famous and successful CEOs of global companies. Yes, it was my dream to have a good career, so I worked hard for it and achieved it.
But I know that there's only one thing I really want in my life: To be with my baby, to be there for him whenever he needs me. There were so many times I wished I could transfer myself instantly across the Oceans, the day when he was having a birthday or when he was having a high fever, but I was thousands of miles away in a global company meeting. How I felt so helpless to hear his sad voice saying he missed me. I even carried his used T-shirt and put it on the pillow in my hotel room. I've changed. I only want to be a Mom like my Mom, who was always there for me when I needed her.
"That's not possible, Yun, you're a single parent. Face it, you have to be the bread winner for the family," a dear friend of mine told me. My husband passed away when my son was 1 year old, and ever since I've been working doubly hard to provide a good home and education for him. It paid off career wise, had some savings here and there at the tremendous expense of time spent with him. I kept on telling myself that it's the quality time that mattered, not quantity, but I was getting more and more guilty because it was like justifying my lack of presence in most of his activities.
I started to rebel. I refused to accept that I couldn't make a lot of money while still be able to spend lots of time with my son. There's got to be a way! He’s getting older by the day, soon he'll prefer to play with his friends rather than with me. I had to hurry!
So I searched for opportunities to work from home. I was more than willing to let go of my prestigious title and lavish office, to me the most important thing is time freedom. I wanted to be my own boss. I wanted to be there for my son, and still able to provide for all that he needs. Thus I explored many things from the net, then I stumbled upon Affiliate Marketing, the thing that would change my life forever.
What is Affiliate Marketing anyway?
Affiliate Marketing is a method of promoting on-line business where an affiliate is awarded for every sale/customer/visitor/subscriber as a result of his/her efforts. Compensation may be made based on a certain value for each registrant (pay per lead), each visitor (pay per click) or commission for each customer or sale (pay per sale).
So, what you need to do, is simply create a website with reviews of the products that you would like to sell. After creating the website, you just need to sign up for a good program which sells the product that you would like to sell. Then, you just need to attach your assigned link (the seller will give you your link once you registered) to your website. And, if someone makes a purchase through your website, the company which sells the product will pay you a certain amount of money. It’s just like being a distributor to the end users directly. The concept makes sense, right?
That’s similar with what I’ve been doing in my career, marketing. The difference is, I provided the strategic direction, then worked together with many parties, like advertising agency, media buying agency to influence end users to buy the products. My success measures were market share, the product net sales, brand image among other things. Well, in Affiliate marketing the principle is the same, I need to choose and understand the target market, segmentation and positioning. Some of the differences are: here I get to be my own strategist, copy-writer, media buyer and…the success measure is very simple and quick to know: dollars directly going into my account! Isn’t it wonderful?
Well, I can go on and on about it, but I promised you that I would give you some tips which would hopefully help you start to be an Affiliate Marketer as well. I have spent hours reading articles on the net, purchasing many e-books about Affiliate Marketing, believe me, there are literally numerous information which could easily make you swamped, not to mention they can be pretty expensive, too! So, I have shortlisted some of the guide books which have helped me start making money on-line.

Commission Blueprint is an awesome guide, which shows you how to generate a lot of money only by using one Clickbank product, and one Adwords Campaign. It basically exploits the profit from Clickbank. MUST HAVE for an affiliate marketer who wants to be a SUPER Affiliate. It will save you a lot of pain most beginners go through.
2. Auto Cash
Auto Cash System by Lanty Paul provides an easy-to-understand guide for a newbie. I also like this book, because while containing wealth of information, it's easy to read, and outlines the steps systematically. Auto Cash also gave numerous bonuses when you upgrade to VIP membership, such as articles as well as products with reseller rights.
3.Blogging to the Bank
Well, just like the title, this book exactly teaches you how to use the blog to create income. This is another helpful guide, especially if you want to start on-line business using blogs. Many people turn their blogs into money machines!
